 "Long Black Veil"은 Danny Dill과 Marijohn Wilkin이 작곡하고

원래 Lefty Frizzell이 녹음한 1959 년 컨츄리 발라드입니다.

그것은 살인 혐의로 기소되어 처형 된 사람의 관점에서 들었습니다.

 "Long Black Veil"은 대체로 내슈빌의 전설 Danny Dill의 아이디어였습니다. 

 

그는 오랜 세월 동안 지속될 민요를 쓰려고 시도했습니다. 

그는 목격자들이 지켜보는 가운데 가로등 아래에서 살해된 

뉴저지의 한 사제에 대한 신문 기사에서 부분적으로 영감을 받았습니다.
