메리 홉킨(Mary Hopkin, 1950년 5월 3일 ~ )은 웨일스의 싱어송라이터다.

비틀즈가 세운 애플 레코드의 소속 가수였다. 대표곡으로 Goodbye, Those Were The Days .....

 

Goodbye" is a song written by Paul McCartney (but credited to Lennon–McCartney)

and performed by Mary Hopkin. It was released on 28 March 1969, and it reached No.1

Mary Hopkin (born 3 May 1950), credited on some recordings as Mary Visconti (from her marriage to Tony Visconti), is a Welsh singer songwriter best known for her 1968 UK number 1 single "Those Were the Days". She was one of the first artists to be signed to the Beatles' Apple label.

Those Were The Days는 좋았던 옛시절이라는 뜻인데

친구들과 웃으면서 위대한 포부를 이야기하며 술잔을 기울이던 젊은 때가 좋았었지 하는 이야기입니다.

마치 이연실의 '목로주점'처럼 말이지요.
