Where friends and family gathered for the Lord
There an old fashioned preacher, taught the straight and narrow way
For what reforms the congregation could afford.

어릴적에 보았던 동산위에 있었던 예배당이 생각납니다.

친구들과 우리 가족이 주님의 가르침을 섬기기 위해 모인 곳

거기에 보수성향의 설교자가 곧고 좁은 길을 가르쳤고

 우리가 할 수 있는 만큼 생활해 나갔습니다.

 

우리의 모든 일요일에는 가장 좋은 옷을 입고,

단단한 떡갈나무 의자에 앉아 있었습니다.

그리고 우리들의 목소리로 가득차 있었던 일들을 기억합니다

높은 소프라노 찬양하는 엄마의 목소리가 천사처럼 들렸는지

그리고 그곳에서 부를때  내가 거기에 있을 것입니다.

 

지금 돌이켜보면 그 작은 산 교회 집 내 인생의 초석이 되었다

나는 내 삶의 기반이 된 단어를 처음 들었다.

일요일마다 하루 종일 노래와 마당에서 저녁 식사로 되살아난 영혼들이 많았다

영광의 땅으로 간 형제 자매들이 근처 단풍나무 숲에서 편히 잠들어 있다.

1953년 9월 18일 미시시피 루이빌에서 태어난 여러 그래미상 수상자인 칼 잭슨은

어린 나이에 뛰어난 블루그래스 작곡가이자 악기 연주자가 되었습니다.

Carl이 14세 때 아버지의 블루그래스 밴드에서 연주했을 때

명예의 전당 입성자 Jim & Jesse(McReynolds)가 그를 후원 그룹인 Virginia Boys에 합류하도록 제안했습니다.

 

그는 그들의 제안을 수락하고 계속해서 5년 동안 그들의 그룹과 함께 밴조를 연주했으며
