In the Garden (1912 song)

 

1.  37 년 동안 Mack 출판사를 운영해 왔던 약사이자 미국의 C. Austin Miles (1868–1946)가 작곡한 Gospel Song입니다.  Miles의 증손녀에 따르면, 이 노래는 "Pitman, New Jersey에 있는 춥고 음울하며 비가새는 지하실에서 시(詩)가 만들어졌는데 정원의 전경은 물론 창문도 없었습니다."

2. 이 노래는 1912 년에 처음 출판되었으며 20 세기 초 빌리 선데이 전도 캠페인에서 대중화되기 시작하였습니다.

Roy Rogers와 Dale Evans는 1950 년 3 월 3 일 보컬 4 중주와 오케스트라와 함께 노래를 녹음했습니다. 이후로Tennessee Ernie Ford, Perry Como, Rosemary Clooney, Doris Day, Elvis Presley, Willie Nelson, Statler Brothers, Glen Campbell, Johnny Cash등 그리고 Avett Brothers는 콘서트에서 앙코르로 이 노래를 정기적으로 부릅니다.
